Our Story

The Rwandan genocide was brutal. A whistle would blow signaling when to start killing and when to end, with organizers taking a body count. The murderers used machetes, clubs, guns and any blunt tool they could find to inflict as much pain on their victim as possible. No Tutsi was exempt.  As a result, over 15% of the children in Rwanda are orphans of genocide, while 2 percent are HIV/AIDS orphans which has its links with genocide.

“My vision is to raise up a generation of young people who respect and fear the Lord, stand firm in their moral values and will with one voice say “Never again!”  For if we do not do this genocide will return, maybe in another form but it will return.”

The Most Rev. Emmanuel Kolini,

Archbishop of Rwanda , Bishop of Kigali
